iPhone: The End of Big Technology?

When I heard the buzz over Apple's iPhone a little while ago, I put it down to the general excitement that surrounds any new product from Apple. What I didn’t realize was how much closer this device would bring us to a time when you could literally have the world at your fingertips. The sort of anytime, anywhere connectivity that this seamless bit of technology provides not only shrinks the digital stratosphere to so many playlists, but also gives a name and a face to all your communication.

With a kickass VOIP and dedicated SMS software, Apple is all set to capture the hand-held market. This kind of dynamic rollerblading between the parallel planes of multimedia, the internet and telecommunications, all through one cool device, does make you wonder if you are a bit of a dinosaur for shelling out two grand for a 56-inch HDMI that now graces your living room.
